During the pandemic, my practice became more and more centered in South Florida, as I took on more and more work as Complex Litigation Counsel for Berman Law Group in Boca Raton, Florida. It finally just made more sense for me to be living back in Florida full time. I am still licensed to practice in California and will continue to manage Berman Law Group’s California cases.

Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Shepard Broad College of Law Health Law program has been ranked 1st in Florida, 56th nationally and the Legal Research and Writing program is ranked 2nd in Florida and 20th nationally by U.S. News & World Report. A First in the U.S.: Court Protects NFL Players’ Concussion Settlements in Bankruptcy Proceedings
Van Horn Law Group, P.A., successfully won an appeal today that protects former NFL players from having to relinquish NFL Concussion Settlement funds during Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings. This is the first case in the United States that protects NFL Concussion Settlement funds, awarded upon diagnosis of neurocognitive illnesses such as Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) as a result of repetitive brain trauma.
